Assignment
Your assignment is 'Tiny Town' cleanup & prep
No new drawing this week! I just want you to clean up and prepare the parts you already made, so we can spend class next week on Smart Objects, motion, and animation.
- Keep breaking your Tiny Town illustration down into little self contained pieces.
- Make each bit a Smart Object or a group, depending on what you want to do with it.
- If you are working in Procreate, keep your parts as groups, BUT bring them into a Photoshop file and convert them to Smart Objects for class next week. You're going to have to do it anyways 😉.
- Make a copy of your file from laat week and move it into the new folder so your original stays untouched.
- Your file should stay at the 5" x 5" size from the Tiny Town assignment.
The calibrator
- I left my Calibrite calibrator with the class this week so that everybody can try it.
- I will take it back next week, so figure out a way between yourselves for everyone to have time with it.
Alert
- Bring your laptop next week if you can.
- Definitely bring your iPad if you have one, and make sure it's charged!
- We will be working with Smart Objects, motion, and animation, and I am hoping to arrange a walkthrough of animation inside Adobe Fresco.
Bring upload for class next week
- Bring your updated tiny town file with smart objects (stacked outliines and color layers ) plus any new working files, scans, etc...
- I have created a new Google Drive directory for this project: svaMFAI_20261019-assignment-tiny-town-smart-objects-update
