Assignment

Use the techniques shown in class over the past few weeks to create a new drawn, colored and composited illustration with the title of "tiny town". The new project should be same as the previous, 5" x 5" inches. Consider looking at the illustration work of Richard Scarry, we will be using these file for learning animation in Photoshop so your scenes should be full of cars, buses, trains, people and so on.

  • Draw no less than 10 separate parts/pieces which will be assembled into one composition for now.
  • At least one part/piece should be a "background"
  • Scan and prep each part/piece for coloring digitally or draw on your iPad Pro.
  • Bring all the parts/pieces that you wish to use into one file, compose an illustration.
  • You can scale, rotate, recolor, duplicate your parts/pieces, you can use any variation or Photoshop techniques you wish.
  • You should be using groups and or Smart Objects within Photoshop.

Upload your source file (the .psd) to Google Drive before class on Monday.
