Assignment

Fantastic work last week. I appreciate that everybody jumped into Adobe Illustrator with both feet.

Your assignment for next week is another fun vector-based illustration, the twist however is in the style and subject matter:

  1. Identify a visual style or technique that is attainable/inspirational to emulate within Adobe Illustrator. Can be another illustrator, something from a history book or classmate. Abobe there is a list of vector illustrators if you need some starting points.
  2. Select and listen to a podcast, your illustration should be a reflection of the story or a moment in this podcast. The topic is up to you. I have a shortlist of fun podcast episodes above if you need them.

Your deliverable is one NEW square format 100% vector illustration a .ai file.

For next week I expect you to upload:

  • Your new vector project.ai file in RGB color space, not CMYK.
  • The image or illustration you were inspired by.
  • A web link to the podcast episode you were inspired by.
  • Any related assets/sketches/process files.

Goggle Drive folder: svaMFAI_20201130-Ai-podcast-vector-drawings

You will all present your projects next week in class

  • "This is my illustration, I was inspired by this image/illustration, and then tell us about the story you listened to.
