Notes

Day one was about meeting and getting to know each other, building a better understanding of the group dynamic.

• I shared a little about my background and how this class has grown over the years.
• We reviewed the group survey and talked about some of the ways that each of you work.
• Most importantly we discussed the challenges of working/presenting remotely and agreed that we will keep discussing this and sharing solutions.

• I shared a quick demo of Google Photoscan for iPhone, a possible way to scan higher quality with your phone.
• A few students asked me about scanners after class so I made this Scanners for artists (Mostly flatbed) reference for you today 😎.

Assignment

There is no official drawing assignment this week. There are however a few things I expect you all to investigate and/or think about. We will discuss these as a group next week:

1. Please log into your SVA Adobe Creative Cloud account. Get it set up on all of your devices, make sure you can download and install the basic tools like Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.
